Sewing Course for Beginners

The Comprehensive Sewing Course for Beginners is our most extensive course designed for complete beginners. If you dream of sewing your own clothes but don’t know where to start, you’ve come to the right place.

This course is for you if:

✔️ you have never sewn before or have only made a few unsuccessful attempts,

✔️ you own a sewing machine but don’t know how to start using it,

✔️ you dream of sewing your own clothes but lack the knowledge and confidence to get started,

✔️ you want to learn how to sew step by step under the guidance of an experienced instructor.

This is a comprehensive course that starts from the very basics – no previous sewing experience is required.

During 36 teaching hours, we will guide you through the entire process of learning to sew – from using a sewing machine for the very first time to independently making your own clothes.

The programme has been designed so that each new skill builds naturally on the previous one. From the very beginning, you will work on real projects that will help you gradually develop new skills and become more confident using a sewing machine.

During the course:

✔️ you will learn about the construction and operation of a domestic sewing machine,

✔️ you will learn how to thread a sewing machine correctly and how to choose the right needles, threads and presser feet for different fabrics,

✔️ you will master basic sewing techniques – sewing straight lines, curves and closed curves,

✔️ you will learn how to cut fabric, transfer pattern markings and prepare individual pieces for sewing,

✔️ you will learn the basics of working with ready-made sewing patterns and how to use them effectively,

✔️ you will learn the basics of using an overlocker (serger),

✔️ you will learn how to insert a zipper, achieve neat garment finishes and correctly press your work at each stage of the sewing process,

✔️ you will complete three fully finished projects to take home:

👜 a shopper bag with a patchwork pocket,

👚 a V-neck blouse (women’s version) or a crew-neck top (men’s version),

👗 a dress or 👖 trousers.

Each project has been carefully selected to introduce new sewing techniques and gradually develop your skills.

By the end of the course, you will be able to independently sew more garments and accessories, confidently use ready-made sewing patterns and operate a domestic sewing machine.

If you catch the sewing bug (and be warned – it happens very often 😊), the natural next step is our Comprehensive Intermediate Sewing Course, where you will make more advanced garments, or our Sewing with Knitted Fabrics Course, where you will learn how to make comfortable T-shirts, sweatshirts and trousers using stretch fabrics.

📆 Duration: 36 teaching hours (the schedule depends on the selected course dates)

👩🏫 Format: in-person classes in small groups (maximum 8 participants)

🎯 Level: beginner – no previous sewing experience required

We work with professional sewing patterns, and you complete each stage independently under the guidance of an experienced instructor. Small groups allow us to provide individual support to every participant and answer questions as they arise.

You can come to the course empty-handed – everything you need will be waiting for you in the studio.

We provide:

✅ domestic sewing machines and overlockers (sergers),

✅ all fabrics needed to complete the projects,

✅ sewing patterns for all garments made during the course,

✅ threads, zippers and all other necessary notions,

✅ fully equipped workstations with scissors, irons and all the essential sewing tools,

✅ a friendly, supportive atmosphere and guidance from the instructor throughout the course.

If you would prefer to work on your own sewing machine, you are welcome to bring it to class. We will be happy to help you get to know its features and capabilities better.

At the end of the course, you will leave not only with new skills, but also with completed projects and materials that will help you continue developing your sewing skills.

You will receive:

✔️ a shopper bag sewn by you,

✔️ a blouse sewn by you,

✔️ a dress or pair of trousers sewn by you,

✔️ a printed MEN certificate of participation – we are a Non-Public Continuing Education Institution accredited by the Polish Education Authority,

✔️ access to a dedicated in-person course participant area, where you will find the sewing patterns used during the course in A4 and A0 formats, as well as video sewing instructions for the course projects, allowing you to revisit the materials even after the course has ended.

Everyone who signs up for the course will also receive:

📐 2 professional garment sewing patterns (value: PLN 79.90–119.90), so you can start sewing more garments at home as soon as you complete the course.

Is this course suitable for complete beginners?

Yes. The course programme starts from the very basics and requires no previous sewing experience.

Do I need to have my own sewing machine?

No. We provide all sewing machines and materials at the studio.

Can I bring my own sewing machine?

Yes. If you would like to get to know your own machine better, you are welcome to bring it to class.

What if I cannot attend one of the classes?

Please contact us as soon as possible. Whenever possible, we will try to find a suitable solution.

What is the minimum age to participate?

The course is open to teenagers aged 13 and over, as well as adults.

Choose a suitable date and select “Deposit” or “Full Payment”.

If you choose the “Deposit” option, you will pay PLN 300 when booking. The remaining balance must be paid before the course begins. We will send you an email reminder with a payment link.

Once you have registered, you will receive an email confirming your booking.

After registration, we will ask you to provide the details required to prepare your printed MEN certificate of participation.

Two days before the course begins, we will email you all the necessary organisational information. Once logged into your account, you will also have access to the course calendar, including the class schedule and room information.
